Asahi Beverages will release the limited edition "Sheer Oh-LE Strawberry" (480ml PET) and "Sheer Oh-LE Melon" (480ml PET) at Seven-Eleven stores nationwide from May 23. The products feature the catchphrase "Transparent yet Strawberry/Melon milk tea." It is believed that the aim is to explore new demand by incorporating the fun element that comes with refreshing beverages.
"Sheer Oh-LE" is a new milk-based drink that was created with the concept of "enjoying the gap between appearance and taste," and the word "sheer" as an adjective means "transparent-like." Asahi Beverages has achieved a translucent liquid color despite it being a dairy product through its proprietary technology. The company claims that the drink's "mild and refreshing taste of milk and fruit, combined with the transparent appearance, creates a fun and exciting experience."
The products were also co-developed with members of the popular 10-20 age group event "Super Teen," with packaging design, naming, and copy supervised by the members.
